We carry out blood, urine and stool tests: general and specific analyses, hormone and vitamin profiles, urine cultures, parasite screening, Helicobacter pylori tests and microbiota analyses, amongst others.
You can come without a doctor’s referral and request the tests you need directly. We recommend booking an appointment in advance to speed up the process and avoid waiting times.
For most blood tests, it is recommended that you fast for 8 to 12 hours, drinking only water. When you book your appointment, we will advise you on the exact preparation required for the tests requested.
We will provide you with a sterile container and collection instructions. The sample must be submitted as soon as possible after collection to ensure reliable results.
Most results are available within 24 to 72 hours. Some specialist tests may take a little longer; we will let you know when you come to give your sample.
Yes. We offer support in Spanish, English, Dutch, German and French, so that you can fully understand your results.
What tests can I have done at the laboratory?
We carry out blood tests, urine tests and stool analyses, as well as cultures, hormone profiles, monitoring of chronic conditions and preventive check-ups. If your doctor has requested a specific test, we can carry it out at our clinic.
Do I need to book an appointment or have a doctor’s referral?
We recommend booking an appointment to avoid waiting times. A doctor’s referral is not essential: you can arrange your tests privately and, if you wish, our medical team can help you interpret the results.
Do I need to fast before the blood test?
For many tests, such as those for glucose or lipid profile, it is recommended that you fast for 8 to 12 hours. We will provide you with specific instructions depending on the tests requested.
How should I collect the urine or stool sample?
We will provide you with a sterile container and instructions on how to collect the sample correctly at home. Proper collection is key to ensuring the reliability of the result, particularly for urine cultures and parasite tests.
When will I get the results?
Most blood, urine and stool tests are available within a few days. For cultures (urine culture, stool culture), the turnaround time may be slightly longer due to the incubation time required.
Can I receive my results and care in my own language?
Yes. We cater for residents and the international community in the Marina Alta, providing care and explaining test results in Spanish, English and other languages, subject to availability.
