It depends on each individual case. Fixed dentures (supported by teeth or implants) offer maximum stability and comfort, whilst removable dentures are more affordable and do not require surgery. We assess your remaining teeth, your bone structure and your budget to recommend the best option for you.
No: as it is anchored to implants, the prosthesis remains fixed and stable, with no movement or rubbing. You can eat, speak and smile with the same confidence as you would with your own teeth, unlike with traditional dentures.
A well-maintained removable denture usually lasts between 5 and 10 years, although the gums and bone change over time and it is advisable to have regular adjustments or relining carried out to ensure a good fit. During check-ups, we assess its condition and fit.
Zirconium stands out for its strength (ideal for molars), lithium disilicate for its aesthetic appeal (ideal for visible teeth), and metal-porcelain is the classic, tried-and-tested option. We recommend the material based on the tooth’s position, your bite and your budget.
Clean it daily using a specialised brush and suitable products (no abrasive toothpaste), rinse it after meals, leave it in water or a cleaning solution overnight, and attend your check-ups to ensure it still fits properly. With this care, it will last longer and you’ll avoid chafing and infections.
