The Subdirección General Promoción de la Salut y Prevención confirms that you have to ask for the SIP card if you want to be considered for the COVID-19 vaccine.

The fight has paid off. Finally, we have received an official reply from Sanitat de Valencia, in which they confirm our recommendations: you have to register and ask for the SIP card in order to be considered for the Covid-19 vaccine. This applies to ALL people living in Spanish territory (national and foreign residents, non-residents, immigrants without papers, etc.). Check our previous news to find out how to do this and how to update your details.

"Good morning,

The Vaccination Strategy of both the Spanish State and the Valencian Community establishes an order of priority for vaccination, in addition to which the low availability of doses that we have at the moment means that the vaccination campaign presents added difficulties.

With this in mind, I would like to inform you that:

All groups will be covered in the order indicated in the Vaccination Strategy.

People who are registered and resident in the Valencian Community have the right to health care, so the Primary Care Health Centre closest to your home will inform you how to obtain the SIP card.

Patients with risk pathologies, once assigned to the general practitioner, should provide this information with all the reports in their possession.

Yours sincerely
