Influenza Vaccine 4-10-23

Just like every year, we organise a ‘flu-vaccine-day’, to give the opportunity being vaccinated against influenza according to the WHO recommendation.

A yearly flu shot is recommended for the following groups of people who are at increased risk for serious complications from the flu:

  • Persons aged >60 years;
  • Persons who have chronic heart (like heart insufficiency) or lung conditions (including asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema, bronchiectasies, tuberculosis and fibrosis); chronic kidney disease; metabolic diseases (like diabetes), or weakened immune system or treated with immunesuppresive medication; furunculosis
  • Household members (including children) and doctors, nurses, and other people who have contact with people in high-risk groups

More information: WHO. For different reasons the cost price of the vaccine has risen. Inquire at our reception for more details. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic there may be supply problems, we will give the vaccines according to the order of booking.

In our reception we have a list with all patients who might benefit from the influenza vaccination. Unfortunately this message won´t reach all patients, if you know someone who could take advantage of a flu vaccination, please tell him/her.

Please call us for more information or to make an appointment.

This vaccine is the influenza (flu) vaccine, currently we can NOT give the Covid-19 vaccine in our clinic.
