Influenza Vaccine 22-10-2020 *POSTPONED*

Due to the supply of vaccines, we have had to postpone flu vaccination for 2020. If you have a SIP card, contact your Health Center. Just like every year, we organise a ‘flu-vaccine-day’, to give the opportunity being vaccinated against influenza according to the WHO recommendation.

A yearly flu shot is recommended for the following groups of people who are at increased risk for serious complications from the flu:

  • Persons aged >60 years;
  • Persons who have chronic heart (like heart insufficiency) or lung conditions (including asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema, bronchiectasies, tuberculosis and fibrosis); chronic kidney disease; metabolic diseases (like diabetes), or weakened immune system or treated with immunesuppresive medication; furunculosis
  • Household members (including children) and doctors, nurses, and other people who have contact with people in high-risk groups

In our reception we have a list with all patients who might benefit from the influenza vaccination. Unfortunately this message won´t reach all patients, if you know someone who could take advantage of a flu vaccination, please tell him/her.
